What a journey--I think about you all of the time, little one. If you are born, I hope you are sleeping well and eating something satisfying. I love you already. I love you before knowing you. You and I are going to have so much fun. And you will never believe how cool your dad is. He will probably become one of your best friends. He wants to teach you French, and I'm going to make forts with you in your bedroom. I started knitting because I think you will need some hats and sweaters--it seems to be colder in Missouri than in Ethiopia. I'm guessing you will like summertime best. Your dad will want to teach you to swim because he swam in college. And we will go on camping trips and hike through the woods. I have so much to learn about being a mom. I'll try to read up on it before you get here, and I've heard that some of it just comes naturally. I will pray for you today.
I love you,
Mom-to-be
Lord, please bless these dear friends as they faithfully wait for the one you have chosen for them.
ReplyDeleteBaby Jones, we cannot wait for your arrival!!! I'm storing up lots of hugs and kisses for you - and I know your Mom and Dad are, too!
BRING THAT BABY HOME (and please make sure, God, that he has an amazing sense of humor)!!!!
